Job Title: Behaviour Management Specialist Location: Bacup, East Lancashire Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Management Specialist to join a supportive secondary school in Bacup. In this role, you will work closely with staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies, support students in overcoming behavioural challenges, and contribute to creating a positive and safe school environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students develop positive behaviours and a strong commitment to ensuring all students can achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage behaviour strategies to support students across all year groups. Work closely with teachers to provide support for students displaying challenging behaviour. Offer individual and group interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Support pastoral teams in identifying students who may need additional behavioural support. Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates and feedback to staff and parents. Promote a positive and inclusive school culture where students can thrive academically and socially. Provide training and advice to staff on effective behaviour management techniques. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working in behaviour management within a school or similar setting. Strong knowledge of current behaviour management strategies and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with behavioural challenges. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field would be desirable.
