We are recruiting for a Maths/Science Teacher to join an alternative provision high school in Wigan. This is a part-time role supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and additional learning needs.
You'll deliver engaging, accessible lessons designed to re-engage learners and support both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Maths and/or Science across KS3 and KS4
- Plan differentiated, engaging lessons for pupils with diverse needs
- Support students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and disrupted education
- Use effective behaviour management strategies
- Track and assess pupil progress
- Contribute to EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
- QTS/QTLS - Essential
- Experience teaching Maths and/or Science (KS3/KS4)
- Experience or strong understanding of SEMH / Alternative Provision
