We are seeking an experienced and proactive Behaviour Lead to join an alternative provision high school in Wigan. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and improving behaviour outcomes across the school.
You will take a lead role in developing and implementing behaviour strategies, supporting staff, and working directly with pupils to promote positive engagement and readiness to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on whole-school behaviour strategy and implementation
- Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs
- De-escalate incidents and manage challenging behaviour effectively
- Develop and monitor individual behaviour plans
- Work closely with teaching staff to improve classroom behaviour
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff on behaviour management
- Track, analyse, and report behaviour data
- Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies
- Promote a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
- Experience in a Behaviour Lead, Pastoral, or SEN role
- Strong understanding of SEMH and alternative provision
