As Deputy Room Leader, you will work closely alongside the Room Leader to support the day‑to‑day running of the room, helping to create an engaging, nurturing, and inspiring environment for children. Building strong relationships with your key children and their families will be a vital part of the role, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Room Leader with the day‑to‑day running of the room
  • Acting as a key person for a group of children, building strong relationships with children and families
  • Monitoring and supporting children's learning and development
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting and mentoring practitioners within the room
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
  • Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained at all times

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience within an Early Years setting
  • Senior Practitioner or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
