Veritas Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in Wakefield to recruit a passionate and skilled Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to inspire pupils and contribute to high-quality language education.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective MFL lessons (French and/or Spanish preferred) across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities at KS5 depending on experience.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the MFL department and wider school staff.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching MFL at secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
