Veritas Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in Wakefield to recruit a passionate and skilled Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to inspire pupils and contribute to high-quality language education.
The Role
- You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective MFL lessons (French and/or Spanish preferred) across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities at KS5 depending on experience.
- The role may be offered on a short-term, long-term, or permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Work collaboratively with the MFL department and wider school staff.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching MFL at secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
