School Technicians – DT & Science | Term-Time Temporary RolesVia Veritas Education – Wakefield & South Yorkshire

Veritas Education is currently recruiting School Technicians for Design Technology (DT), Science, and general technician support roles in primary and secondary schools across Wakefield and South Yorkshire.

These are term-time only, full-time temporary positions, available for both short-term and long-term assignments. You'll be working directly with teaching staff to support practical lessons, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and efficient learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing materials and equipment for lessons.
  • Supporting teachers during practical sessions.
  • Maintaining and repairing tools and apparatus.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met.
  • Managing stock and ordering supplies.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a school technician role, particularly in DT or Science departments.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety procedures in a school setting.
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
