A welcoming and supportive specialist school in Sutton, South West London is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing educational environment.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support students with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, and SEMH
- Create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure positive outcomes
- Promote students' academic, emotional and social development
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an SEN and/or SEMH setting
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A valid Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
