Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (KS1) Location: Primary Schools in Blackburn, Darwen & Accrington Start Date: ASAP

We\’re looking for a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in Blackburn, Darwen, and Accrington. You\’ll assist teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to thrive in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support primary schools in Blackburn, Darwen, and Accrington by assisting teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom environments.
• Help create an inclusive learning environment for students with SEN and support their academic and social development.
• Assist with adapting activities to meet individual student needs and provide targeted support under guidance.
• Contribute to ongoing professional development and training opportunities offered by partners.

Requirements

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a SEN setting
• Relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
• Understanding of SEN and inclusive education
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Flexibility to work as many days as you\’d like; suitable for someone who can pick up short notice work
• Competitive rates of pay up to £17.71p/h
• Ongoing professional development and training opportunities
