We are currently working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Teesside who are seeking dedicated SEN Support Staff to join their teams. These roles are ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, behavioural needs, and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health).
As an SEN Support member of staff, you will be involved in:
- 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Small-group interventions to help pupils progress academically and socially
- Behaviour and SEMH support, ensuring pupils feel safe, encouraged, and understood
- Supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, and sensory regulation
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support plans
- Helping create a positive, nurturing learning environment for all pupils
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or otherwise)
- A caring, resilient and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills
- A passion for helping children reach their full potential
- (Desirable) Experience with autism, sensory needs, SEMH, or behaviour support
