An outstanding SEN school in Bexley is looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with a variety of learning needs including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.

? Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an SEN setting or with children with additional needs (preferred)

  • A clean, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new one

  • A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to learning support

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

�? Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with learning and behaviour

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans

  • Assisting with daily classroom tasks and creating a positive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with personal care (where applicable)

  • Encouraging social interaction and helping develop emotional regulation strategies

  • Monitoring progress and reporting observations to the teaching team

  • Promoting inclusion and helping students access the full curriculum
