Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Peterlee, County DurhamContract Type: Flexible (dd-hoc, Short-Term & Long-Term Supply)Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive, £90-£110 p/day, depending on experience (PAYE)Training: Team Teach training available through Veritas' in-house lead trainer!
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are working with a specialist SEN provision in Peterlee that caters to pupils aged 2-19 with a wide range of complex learning needs. This vibrant and inclusive setting is committed to providing a nurturing, aspirational, and highly personalised learning journey for every student.
About the Role:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support in both classroom and 1:1 settings
- Contribute to a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Opportunities available for both daily cover and longer-term placements
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children/young people with additional needs is desirable
- Graduates with a passion for SEN and a desire to transition into education are also encouraged to apply
