The predicted salary is between 22000 - 25000 Β£ per year.

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Blackpool. This role will involve providing both 1:1 and 2:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and 2:1 support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Encourage independence and confidence in learning
  • Support pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

  • Previous SEN experience - essential
  • Experience working with children in an educational or care setting
  • Understanding of different SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
