Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs? Do you have the skills, patience, and enthusiasm to help secondary school learners thrive? Veritas Education is seeking committed and compassionate SEN Qualified Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools throughout East Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need tailored support to reach their full potential.

About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with a range of additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, learning difficulties).
  • Support students academically, emotionally, and socially within the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Use creative strategies to help students engage and achieve.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

We’re Looking For

  • A recognised SEN qualification or relevant specialist training.
  • Experience supporting SEN students (ideally within a secondary setting).
  • Strong communication, resilience, and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, understanding, and nurturing approach.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
