We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistants to join our primary schools across Leeds. These roles offer both part-time and full-time options, starting as soon as possible.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting, ideally with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is highly desirable.
- Skills: Ability to manage behaviour and de-escalate challenging situations. Experience or knowledge of Team Teach methods is advantageous.
- Personal Qualities: Creative, fun, and able to build strong rapport with students. You must be able to set clear boundaries and provide a structured environment for pupils.
Role Responsibilities:
- 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, in and out of the classroom.
- Supporting students who may be on alternative timetables or following an adapted curriculum.
- Working closely with class teachers and other staff to ensure the individual needs of each pupil are met.
