Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Blackpool who are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates considering a career in education, or individuals with relevant experience supporting young people who are looking to make a real difference in the classroom.
The Role
- Support students both in and out of the classroom
- Work closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and engagement
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEMH and SEND
- Help promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
- Build strong relationships with students and staff across the school
The Ideal Candidate
- Have previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
- Be confident supporting students with varying learning needs and abilities
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
