Veritas Education is recruiting experienced and reliable Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across Rossendale on a flexible supply basis. This role is ideal for confident and adaptable practitioners who enjoy variety, can work across different school environments, and are comfortable supporting learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
We are looking for individuals who can step into classrooms and make an immediate positive impact, supporting both teachers and pupils effectively from day one.
The Role
- You will be working across primary schools providing general classroom support, 1:1 assistance, small group interventions, and additional support for pupils with varying needs. Assignments will vary daily depending on school requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Work with individuals and small groups, including SEND support
- Assist with classroom behaviour and learning routines
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons
- Carry out welfare and supervision duties where required
- Follow all safeguarding and school policies
What We're Looking For
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a school setting
- Confident supporting across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Experience delivering interventions such as phonics, literacy or numeracy
- Experience working across multiple schools or on supply
