Primary Teaching Assistant — Location: Croydon, South London; Position: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant; Start Date: October 2025; Pay: £95 – £115 per day.
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025.
This OFSTED-rated \’Good\’ school is highly regarded for its nurturing ethos and commitment to supporting all pupils to achieve their best. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships in the classroom.

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting (essential)
- Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour

- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents
Main Responsibilities Include
- Providing tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities
- Supporting children\’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Using creative strategies and resources to promote engagement and understanding
- Monitoring progress and reporting observations to the class teacher and SENCO
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
