Primary Teacher – Intervention Teacher (Year 5 & 6) Location: Burnley Start Date: November 2025 Contract: Full-time / Part-time options available Exclusively Managed by Veritas Education

Veritas Education are delighted to be working exclusively with a welcoming primary school in Burnley, seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver writing-focused interventions across Year 5 and Year 6 from November 2025.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality intervention sessions focused on improving writing skills in upper Key Stage 2.
  • Work closely with class teachers to identify learning gaps and provide targeted support.
  • Plan engaging and creative lessons that inspire pupils to develop confidence and enthusiasm for literacy.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5 or Year 6.
  • A genuine passion for literacy and writing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support pupils.
  • Open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.
