We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable PE Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in East Lancashire, providing high-quality supervision of physical education lessons during staff absence. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in sport, education, coaching, or youth work who are confident managing pupils in an active environment. As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned PE lessons, ensure pupil safety, maintain positive behaviour, and support students' engagement and physical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage PE lessons in accordance with pre-set plans left by the teacher
- Lead a range of physical activities, both indoors and outdoors
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school's behaviour policy
- Encourage positive participation, teamwork and sportsmanship
- Take responsibility for changing room routines and transitions
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident records as required
