Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis in a primary school in Morecambe, starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming school and make a real impact by providing individualised support to a pupil who requires additional assistance in the classroom. This role is full time for the full academic year.

The Role

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant position
  • Providing 1:1 support within a KS1 classroom
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Supporting learning, behaviour and engagement
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Experience with SEN is desirable but not essential
