About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality lessons in one or more foreign languages (French, Spanish, German, etc.) across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspire students to engage with language learning, and support their academic development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about promoting cultural understanding and fluency in a foreign language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and language acquisition.
- Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams, providing additional resources and guidance where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the MFL curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, German, or other languages).
- Experience teaching MFL at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to student success.
