Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Wakefield to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from after February half-term. This is a long-term position ideally suited to a teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a commitment to raising attainment across KS3 and KS4.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire pupils and support their progression in line with Department for Education standards. You will join a supportive department with access to high-quality resources and ongoing professional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress in line with school policies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the wider school community through participation in meetings, interventions, and enrichment.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and safeguarding.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum.
  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary setting.
  • A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
