We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and/or emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Promote inclusion and encourage independence both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress and report to relevant staff.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents/carers.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Ability to adapt learning materials and strategies to suit individual pupils.
