Veritas Education is currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Mile End. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately and continuing through to September 2026. This opportunity involves supporting pupils within a Year 4 class and would suit a confident and proactive SEN TA looking for stability within a welcoming school environment.

The Role

  • You will be working within a Year 4 classroom, providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs.
  • This may include 1:1 support as well as small group interventions, ensuring children can access the curriculum and make strong academic and social progress.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting pupils with SEND within the Year 4 classroom
  • Delivering tailored interventions and small group work
  • Adapting resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting behaviour regulation using positive strategies
  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCP targets where applicable
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo

  • Have proven experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting
