Veritas Education is working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Lancaster who are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team immediately.
Role Overview
This is a part-time, afternoon role supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and then helping to supervise and engage children in the school's after-school club.
- Hours: Lunchtime until 5:30pm
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Contract: Term time only
- Start date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in KS1 classrooms during the afternoon
- Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour support
- Helping to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment in the after-school club
- Supervising children during activities, play, and transitions
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)
- A positive, patient, and reliable approach
- Confident supporting young learners in a primary school setting
- Able to commit to the role on a long-term, term-time basis
