Veritas Education is proud to be working in partnership with a high-achieving independent school in Lambeth to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher for a September 2026 start. This well-regarded independent school is known for its strong academic foundations, nurturing environment, and excellent pastoral care. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils' early development, confidence, and love of learning.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about early primary education, enjoys creating stimulating and supportive classroom environments, and is committed to building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development.

The Ideal KS1 Teacher Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 in a UK school (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and early assessment practices (including phonics)
  • A nurturing, patient, and engaging approach to teaching
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated KS1 lessons
  • Creating a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils' early literacy and numeracy development, including phonics
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress to ensure strong learning outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
