Veritas Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Huddersfield to recruit a Teacher of Girls' Physical Education. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated PE specialist to inspire female pupils and promote physical wellbeing, teamwork and resilience through sport.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to girls across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and teach engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress effectively
  • Contribute to extracurricular sporting activities and the wider life of the school
  • Promote positive behaviour, enthusiasm for learning and a healthy lifestyle

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Have recent experience teaching Girls' PE in a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Show enthusiasm, professionalism and a collaborative approach to working with staff
