This is a unique chance for an experienced SEN Teacher to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the school.
About the RoleAs part of the teaching team, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, individualised lessons to pupils with Autism and associated needs
- Use flexible, person-centred approaches to meet EHCP outcomes
- Contribute to curriculum design and the school's pedagogical framework
- Support pupils' communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with therapists and support staff
- Assist in developing school-wide practices that reflect inclusive, evidence-informed SEN teaching
This role offers scope to influence whole-school planning, contribute to an ambitious and inclusive culture, and grow professionally within an expanding provision.
What We're Looking ForWe welcome applications from candidates who are:
- Qualified Teachers (QTS essential)
- Experienced in teaching learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), preferably in a specialist or alternative provision setting
- Confident using or learning frameworks such as EQUALS, SCERTS, or Routes for Learning
- Skilled in adaptive teaching, communication strategies (e.g., PECS, AAC), and non-linear assessment
- Passionate about creating accessible, engaging learning environments that meet complex individual needs
- Collaborative, reflective, and committed to professional growth
