Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop engaging schemes of work that promote creativity, healthy living and practical food preparation skills.
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback and intervention where required.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained within the Food Technology classroom.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external professionals to support student outcomes.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
  • Possess strong classroom management skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs is desirable but not essential.
