A welcoming and inclusive school in Blackpool is seeking a committed and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA to take on a varied role, supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading small group interventions, and covering whole classes when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality learning activities across the primary curriculum
  • Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of the class teacher
  • Plan and deliver targeted intervention groups to raise attainment
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
  • Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working in a school setting
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to lead lessons confidently and independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development

Desirable

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils
  • Experience delivering intervention programmes
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
