About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive humanities department and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the world, in line with Department for Education standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Encourage curiosity about global, environmental, and social issues
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has strong subject knowledge in Geography
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome)
- Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
