Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including SLD, PMLD, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning and care needs
- Assisting with personalised learning programmes, care plans, and sensory-based activities
- Supporting communication, engagement, emotional regulation, and independence
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Building positive and trusting relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing, and personal development
Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Requirements:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with complex learning needs
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Experience supporting pupils with SLD and/or PMLD (desirable but not essential)
- Experience with personal care, manual handling, or sensory support (preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (desirable)
- Ideal for aspiring SEN Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, or Health & Social Care professionals
