Veritas Education is partnering with secondary schools in North West London to recruit dedicated and adaptable English Graduate Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. Roles are full-time, term-time only, and available to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities for English Graduate Teaching Assistants include:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
  • Support the development of students' academic skills and personal development, fostering social and emotional growth.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.

About you:

  • Educated to degree level in English or any other related degree subject.
  • Have previous experience within a school or other related experience, e.g. tutoring experience.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
  • Have knowledge and experience supporting children within special educational needs.
  • School based experience preferred but not essential.
