Job Description

Design and Technology Teaching Assistant

£95 to £115 per day

ASAP Start/ Full Time/ Term Time

Outstanding School

A secondary school based in Hayes, Hillingdon are looking for a Design and Technology Teaching Assistant who has good understanding of all aspects of DT, including resistant materials, Graphics, Textiles, Food technology and more to be able support children within the subjects. You will need to be available to start ASAP or a January start is negotiable.

Resonsibilities:

  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small group
  • On some occassionas cover lessons where necessary.
  • Carry out assessments and observations as instructed by teachers
  • Support with reading and writing – with a focus on students with special needs.
  • As DT Assistant students you support will vary between Yr 7 to Yr 11
  • Write progress reports for students with SEN and varied abilities.

Ideal skills and requirements:

  • Able to understand humanities curriculum and support.
  • Qualifications – Degree Level is preferred in a related topic.
  • Experience working with children in any setting.
  • Contribute an enthusiastic attitude towards learning.
  • Be pro-active and professional.
