As a Primary Teacher specializing in SEN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to students with a range of additional learning needs. You will work closely with our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to create tailored learning plans and support individual student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with SEN students, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students KS2 Year 5/6.
- Create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support plans to meet the learning needs of each child.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure the holistic development of students.
- Monitor and track student progress and report on achievements and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and needs.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching primary-aged children, with a strong understanding of SEN.
- Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Experience in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- DBS on the update service.
