We are seeking a reliable and flexible Cover Supervisor to work across multiple secondary schools in Wigan. This role offers a flexible, casual position where you'll be required to cover various schools within the area. The hours and shifts will vary based on the daily and weekly needs of the schools, and work is not guaranteed. You must be comfortable with early morning calls for day-to-day cover, and be willing to travel to different school locations as required. No week will be the same, and flexibility is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day cover across multiple schools within the Nelson area, overseeing classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Follow provided lesson plans and ensure students remain on task and complete set work.
- Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment at all times.
- Support students with additional learning needs, where applicable, and provide assistance as required.
- Be proactive in dealing with behaviour management issues and maintaining control in the classroom.
