Veritas Education are working with an Alternative Provision in West Drayton that are looking for a supply cover supervisor to help with Humanities in the secondary school. As a cover supervisor, your role would be to cover the classroom, help pupils make progress and achieve academic excellence in an environment of love and care. The school is looking for dedicated, hard-working and professional cover supervisors that will add effective support to students with a range of abilities.
The ideal cover supervisor candidate will be conscientious, self-motivated, well-organised and adaptable as you will be working in different classrooms throughout the secondary school. You will receive a schedule at the start of the day and be expected to demonstrate flexibility, resilience and spontaneity. Your aim is to provide pupils with a broad, balanced and diverse curriculum of the highest quality where representation is key.
The school is a new state-of-the-art building with a wide range of expensive facilities. You will have access to staff and street parking at the start of the day and an overground station is within walking distance.
The ideal cover supervisor candidate will:
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Be passionate about working with young people and have a desire to see each student achieve the best of their potential
- Have previous experience working with/assisting students with SEMH needs
- Work well in different classrooms and handle different subjects
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Previous experience of working within a school or as a cover supervisor is not mandatory to be considered for this role. If you have worked with children or young adults in any aspect including working as a sports coach, youth worker, support worker etc., please feel free to apply.
