Secondary schools across Lancashire are seeking reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support their staffing needs on a day-to-day and short-term basis. Working through Veritas Education, you'll deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity for students when their usual teacher is absent.
Responsibilities
- Delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, productive atmosphere
- Supporting students with their learning and engagement
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Providing feedback to teaching staff after each lesson
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
- Strong classroom-management skills
- Confidence delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- A flexible, positive and proactive approach
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
