The Opportunity
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking school in the Bradford area to recruit an experienced School Business Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school on an immediate interim basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role from September 2026. This role is ideal for a proactive and highly organised professional who can provide strategic and operational leadership across finance, HR, and school operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the school's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee HR processes, including recruitment, contracts, and staff wellbeing support.
- Manage premises, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective administration systems and operational efficiency.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with strategic planning and decision‑making.
- Drive best value and cost‑efficiency across all school services.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a School Business Manager or in a similar role within an education setting.
- Strong financial management skills (budget planning and monitoring essential).
- Knowledge of school compliance, safeguarding, and operational requirements.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
