A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across the classroom, working closely with teachers to help children engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will provide support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and during whole-class activities, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities- Support teaching and learning across the classroom
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Essential: GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above), Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting, Strong communication and teamwork skills, A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Desirable: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Knowledge of SEN and intervention support, Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject
