Autism Support Assistant - Middlesbrough
Start Date: ASAP • Pay: £90-£105 per day • Opportunities: Short-term & Long-term roles available
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism? We’re recruiting Autism Support Assistants to join a welcoming mixed community school in Middlesbrough, working with students aged 3-19 who have a range of communication, sensory and learning needs. We’re looking for people who are patient, resilient and committed to making a real difference in the lives of autistic young people.
You will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support
- Help create a calm, structured and nurturing environment
- Follow personalised learning and behaviour plans
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in:
- Youth work
- Support work / care work
- Autism-specific or SEN support
- Behaviour mentoring
- Residential childcare or therapeutic settings
- Sports coaching with SEND exposure
