Autism Support Assistant - Middlesbrough

Start Date: ASAP • Pay: £90-£105 per day • Opportunities: Short-term & Long-term roles available

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism? We’re recruiting Autism Support Assistants to join a welcoming mixed community school in Middlesbrough, working with students aged 3-19 who have a range of communication, sensory and learning needs. We’re looking for people who are patient, resilient and committed to making a real difference in the lives of autistic young people.

You will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Help create a calm, structured and nurturing environment
  • Follow personalised learning and behaviour plans
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in:

  • Youth work
  • Support work / care work
  • Autism-specific or SEN support
  • Behaviour mentoring
  • Residential childcare or therapeutic settings
  • Sports coaching with SEND exposure
