We're seeking an enthusiastic and aspirational Accounting and Finance Teacher to join our dynamic team. Perfect for someone who understands and taught AAT Level 2 Accounting, this role offers professional development while playing a vital part in delivering engaging lessons to our mixed-ability student cohort.
Responsibilities of Accounting and Finance Teacher
- Plan & deliver engaging lessons including accounting and finance.
- Support student development by fostering their soft skills (CREATE: Communication, Relating, Enterprise, Application, Thinking, Emotional intelligence).
- Monitor progress, maintain records, and provide feedback to help students meet their academic and vocational goals.
- Contribute to the professional culture, participating in staff meetings, collaborative planning, and regular training.
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment, modelling high standards of behaviour, appearance, and punctuality.
- Engage with parents/carers and workplace partners, as part of the college's collaborative ethos and strong parent-school relationships.
Requirements
- Qualifications in Accounting and Finance.
- Experience tutoring, coaching and teaching lessons in Accounting and finance.
- Experience working with 14 - 19.
- Understanding of AAT Level 2.
- Safeguarding awareness and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
