Veritas Education is delighted to be working with a beautiful and unique nursery in Wetherby to recruit a caring and experienced Deputy Room Leader to join their welcoming early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Level 3 practitioner looking to progress within a supportive and nurturing nursery environment. The nursery prides itself on providing a warm, engaging, and child-centred setting where both children and staff can thrive.
As a Deputy Room Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the room alongside the Room Leader, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and organised environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the Room Leader with the daily running of the room
- Supporting children’s learning and development
- Delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Helping to maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Supporting the wider nursery team where needed
- Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Previous experience within an early years or nursery setting
- Room Leader or senior practitioner experience preferred
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
