We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in West Drayton on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Biology Teacher, Chemistry Teacher, or Physics Teacher looking for a rewarding new role in a supportive school environment. The school supports students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and provides a structured, nurturing setting where students can achieve both academically and personally.
Science Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach a broad Science curriculum including Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons aligned to the national curriculum
- Support students with SEMH, SEND, and additional behavioural needs
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and positive learning environments
- Work closely with support staff, SENCOs and leadership teams
- Follow safeguarding and school compliance procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- QTS, QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
