Veritas Education are proud to be working with a vibrant, innovative and highly supportive special school in Middlesbrough, seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a wide range of complex needs. The school caters for pupils with SLD, PMLD and complex learning disabilities, offering a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Supporting children and young people with severe and profound learning difficulties
  • Working as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team
  • Providing personalised support both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting with communication, learning activities and daily routines
  • Building trusting, positive relationships with pupils

Who We’re Looking For

  • SEND Teaching Assistants
  • Support workers or carers from complex care settings
  • Professionals with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs

Experience working with SLD, PMLD or complex learning disabilities is highly desirable, although the right attitude and commitment are equally important.
