Veritas Education is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenwich to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start. This OFSTED-rated ‘Good’ school is known for its supportive ethos and strong focus on pupils’ academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils build confidence, remain engaged, and achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children—including those with additional needs—within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting (essential)
- Understanding of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour
- A calm, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Support the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
- Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development

- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
