Veritas Education are working with a ‘good’ mixed secondary school (11–16) in Redcar who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team on a long‑term temporary basis. This role is expected to last through to July but there is potential for the role to be extended into next academic year, from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE specialist who enjoys delivering engaging lessons and contributing to a positive and active school environment.

The Role

  • Teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Full-time timetable, Monday to Friday
  • Long-term placement with work already planned and set out
  • Expected to deliver lessons effectively and contribute positively to the department and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate

  • QTS preferred, but not essential for this role
  • Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passionate about promoting physical activity, teamwork and wellbeing
  • Reliable, professional and committed to long-term supply
