Veritas Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEN English Teacher to join a specialist setting in Richmond, supporting students with a range of complex learning needs. The Role
- Delivering English lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs, including SEMH, Autism, and learning difficulties.
- Planning and delivering differentiated English lessons across KS3–KS4.
- Supporting students working below age‑related expectations, including Entry Level and functional skills.
- Developing students’ literacy, communication, and reading confidence.
- Managing behaviour using calm, consistent and trauma‑informed approaches.
- Tracking student progress and contributing to EHCP targets and reviews.
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider support teams.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience teaching English within SEN, SEMH or alternative provision settings.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse and complex learning needs.
- A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Experience delivering functional skills or entry‑level English (desirable).
