Maths and Science
Graduate Teaching Assistants.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students’ learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
Roles are full-time, term‑time only, and are to start in September.
- Responsibilities for Maths and Science Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
- Support the development of students’ academic skills, as well as their social and emotional growth.
- Provide targeted support to students one-to‑one, in small groups, and across the whole class, including those with additional learning needs.
- Support classroom behaviour management and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare and organise learning resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement effective learning strategies.
About you
- Educated to degree level in Maths or Science, or in any STEM subject area.
- Have previous experience within a school or other education‑related experience.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
- Have knowledge and experience supporting children with additional learning needs.
- School‑based experience preferred but not essential.
